Our son LOVES this book, so much that it is one we are buying. He is 3 and a half and because he goes to toddler time he related really well and it helped me explain the library ad jobs of those he cares about more. The story is creative and fun, and not too long but more than the younger toddler books, I found it a great book.

I believe we have lost this book. What is the fee for a lost book?

A jem of a book. Beautiful illustrations and the story is just wonderful :)

Best suited for 5 and up as it is lengthy but it is a simple story with lots of heart to it which my 3.5 year old seemed to enjoy. I love the illustrations.

Original, sensitive, understated story based on the themes of fitting in and the purpose and spirit of when to follow rules and when to break them. The illustrator has a flare for drawing lions.

Miss Merriweather is very surprised one day when a lion comes into her library. He doesn''t mean anyone any harm, even though Mr. McBee doesn''t believe it, and he likes to help out around the library so Miss Merriweather decides to let him stay. What Lion loves the most is storytime. He never misses a day and lets the kids lean against him as they listen. One day, when something unexpected happens, Lion forgets himself and lets out a very big roar and is banished from the library. Soon everyone misses him and it is up to Mr. McBee to find him and bring him back.
