I immigrated to Canada many years ago and now plan to read the entire How Canada Became Canada series. My US school years are long past and this will refresh my memory and fill in some blanks. for instance, I didn't know that John Cabot sailed for England but was Italian, Giovanni Caboto, and that it isn't known exactly where on the east coast he landed.

I realize these books are written for school-age children but they will give me an overview that I can pursue later in heavier tomes.

I especially appreciated the outline of the various First Nations now that Truth and Reconciliation are so much in the news.
