Peter, Paul & Mary in the early 60's were one of the most popular folk groups. They put out a record each year the first 3 or 4 years and they all sold millions of copies. Carry It On, A Musical Legacy, chronicles the history of the group. They were all in New York trying to break into the music scene. They got together and the rest is history. In this video, Richie Havens joins Peter Yarrow for a version of Yarrows The Great Mandela. Many interesting facts come out and each member has consistently supported civil rights. Peter Paul & Mary are shown in the Video on the Washington Capitol Plaza singing on the Day Martin Luther King gave his I Have A Dream Speech. Now that Mary has passed on only Peter or Paul occasionally perform. Here you see them all together again in their prime years. A Five Star Folk Classic!
