It has found a following among little league managers and coaches because it's built around three simple elements required for Little League success: drilling the basics, the keep it simple/make it fun philosophy, and practice, practice, practice. Written by a father/coach for other parent/coaches, it covers hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running fundamentals and easily implemental practice drills. Also includes suggestions for dealing with umpires, overbearing parents, fund-raising, and how to ensure good communication between the team and parents. What's also helpful to Little League managers are ways to keep practices interesting and informative and special troubleshooting info to correct fundamental flaws in players' technique. For the revised edition, the author worked closely with a current Little League manager, Rich Cropper, to fully update the drills and strategies components of each chapter. His local Little League president has pledged full cooperation in terms of both managerial expertise, and the author also has strong ties with Little League H
