Nora is a great storyteller and this was no different. Her descriptions of Madagascar and traveling through there were what made this book stand-out to me. As far as the romance goes, it was okay, but I think I wanted a bit more feelings. I enjoyed the banter though. The constant having to evade the enemy was very repetitive and distracted a bit from the romance, but it was nice to read a romantic thriller again - it's been awhile.

Overall, not her best, but certainly still fun!

Ultimately this is a love story. However, it is a drama first - until the last couple chapters. A nice change of pace for Nora Roberts IMHO. I like the concept of items surviving France's Reign of Terror.
