There are several children's books with Degas and his drawings and paintings of dancers as their subject--this is the best of those because of the honor it gives to the dedication of the dancers as well as to the dedication of Degas. The importance of practice is the theme that draws the work of both types of artists together here. Degas' techniques are also well-described, as are the changes that his failing sight brought to his art. Each reproduction is accompanied by an informative blurb that further enhances all that can be learned while looking at Degas' lovely art works.
