Another good one by Peter Bowen. The Gabriel Du Pre series is always well-written and the main and recurring characters are very likable. There is always an undertone of sorrow for the troubles and sins of mankind, but compassion takes second place to justice. The wildfire policies of the forest and park services comes under close scrutiny in regard to a land that needs fire to regenerate it. Too many of those fires are man made in this mystery.
