The premise is odd but there's something familiar and impactful about its odd little message. Deals with the idea of death to some extent as well as the not so wonderful trappings of life.

Absolutely delightful! A great story to share with older preschoolers who don't mind someone getting eaten. I laughed out loud often and am in awe of this outlandish treat.

quite imaginative. interesting take on making the most of the hand you've been dealt. not sure I like how the book ended, but would make for a great discussion with older kids about overcoming fears and facing the world.
