- Canada has committed itself to the norm of equality. Therefore, governments should not be campaigning in the courts to undermine the capacity of human rights legislation to deal with allegations of governmental discrimination. Summary:
This book was about human rights tribunals and courts in Canada. It also covered some specific human rights issues like women's rights in the workplace. It contained a good summary of many human rights institutions in this country that many Canadians might not even know exist. Some chapters defend human rights tribunals from common criticisms they receive. Others describe the challenges that these institutions face. Most of them contain recommendations for improving the system in the future. This book was about human rights tribunals and courts in Canada. The insights in this book were great, and I am going to pay attention to filler news in the future.
Unfortunately, I found the author to be offensive and excessively raunchy.
Also, a lot of the book is filled with internet comments from the author's website, and repetitive commentary on specific news stories. I found myself skipping large sections of the content.
Overall, it is an okay book, but not great. Taking a day to skim through it would be worth it for the insight into the mass media's problems. The insights in this book were great, and I am going to pay attention to filler news in the future.

I found this to be a very gripping and exciting story with nearly overwhelming levels of mystery. The intricate plot centers around a protagonist who is selfish to the point of being unlikeable, but he seems to learn his lesson by the end. I loved the character development of the time-traveler and Lily. The final few paragraphs sealed this story as a truly good one in my mind, when the man condemns his past and future self and becomes a better person. This is the best book I have read in a long time. Highly recommended.I found this to be a very gripping and exciting story with nearly overwhelming levels of mystery. This book is not for laypeople, and it is not for those with merely a casual interest in politics. This is for people who are deeply familiar with and interested in the machinations of parliament. I personally found it difficult to read, and uninteresting, but I don't think I was part of the target audience. This book is not for laypeople, and it is not for those with merely a casual interest in politics. This is an amazing book that demolishes in extreme detail the notion that male and female minds are naturally different in any significant way.
Nearly every paragraph describes one study after another representing huge numbers of scientists and test subjects. It is a great book.
My only problem with it is that it's a little difficult to read at times. It deals with neuroscience, which is a difficult subject no matter who the author is. Just take your time though, and you'll get it all. Overall, I consider this a must-read. The good
-Excellent characters, especially Mori, who seemed very sensible to me. Her thoughts on class, romance, ablism, and life were all great.
-Sexual issues were dealt with really well. Young teens can learn good lessons from this book.
-The magic system was very interesting to me, especially Mori's explanation of how to make a rose appear in your snapping fingers.
The bad
-It occasionally has this little girl getting minor physical abuse. Its mild and infrequent, but it's there. I had to read upsetting stories in highschool that were filled with obscene child abuse, and I no longer have any tolerance for it. Other readers who haven't read sadistic books probably won't notice anything.
-I don't know if this was intentional, but this book defends the kind of magic that a lot of people actually believe in. The stuff with acupuncture working in the book even though it has been scientifically proven to be useless in reality was frustrating to read, especially when the acupuncturist tells Mori that her real treatment in the hospital made her condition worse. People in the real world die because they refuse to take real medicine and go with quack medicine instead.
Overall I loved the book, and hope to see a sequel some day. I would love to read about Mori having more adventures and battling other witches. The good
